As usual a very western centric view. Have you even heard of al-khorezmi for example? Thought not. He is perhaps one of the most important scientist/mathematitian in history and as important as newton or euclid. Amongst other things he introduced arabic numerals which replaced clumsy roman numerals. He also invented algebra, the building blocks of mathematics and every field of science and engineering that exists today. Without this man's achievements, the modern world would never have existed. Regards.
