I was reading about Iron Man triathletes. This guy, Dave Scott, is incredible. Six time winner of the Iron Man in Hawaii (the pinnacle event in the discipline). Placed second at age 40. At age 42 he ran the marathon portion in 2 hours 45 minutes...Remember an Iron Man event consists of a 3.86 km swim, a 180.25 km cycle and then a marathon run. May be one of the greatest athletes ever. Yet virtually nobody outside the field knows about him.
