This debate has been going on since I was a kid in the 80s and the Old Firm were targeting the then First Division. From a competitive standpoint it makes sense but I can’t see Celtic being a Top 6 team (not as they stand currently).
If they want silverware its best to stay North of the border. Besides which the loss of Celtic and Rangers would likely kill what is left of the SPL (although it may open prospects for Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs).
Overall I think they should stay put, Scottish football needs the Old Firm.
