Reflection LVIII- May's Murmours

The common theme of all ideologies is compliance. The idea  itself is a secondary consideration.

It wasn’t the opponents of climate change hysteria that defeated the ideology but a change of heart by internationalists who see  it as an impediment to winning the energy wars that will dictate the AI Revolution.

People don’t seem to mind being lied to all the time as long as those lies are ones of comfort.

Violent Revolutions rarely change a society for the better, Informed change that balances progress with maintenance of workable systems does.

At its heart genuine liberalism is conservative as it has to conserve principles such as freedom of thought, speech, rule of law and private property in order to survive.

All violent revolutions  are in reality expressions of envy.

Happiness is easier to achieve when one makes peace with the notion of the reality of imperfection.

To enslave a population, make them overly dependent on technology in their day-to-day living.

The media ought to be impartial but it seldom is. This is as  true of the present as it is with the past. The concept of a Media Golden Age is at best a myth.

Ultimately every intelligent thinker has to battle the demon of hubris.
