Reflections XLIII - Upsream against the Decadent Current

Democracies often bring into power mediocre feckless leadership. Dictatorships lead to authoritarian domination. Our hope is that the former is better than the latter but it isn’t always the case. Mediocrity can at times be more dangerous especially when brave action is required.

I am told that Marxism works on paper which naturally makes me question not only the quality of the paper but the writing utensil as well.

If you ever thought that humans were brighter than chimpanzees never forget that many people in the contemporary believe that there are more than two genders and that men can have babies.

It must be noted that if  one values nations built on Islamist ideals then why are such societies as a rule prime examples of failed states.

The left most hated Charlie Kirk as he stood in their way of their ongoing project to corrupt the youth.

It is laughable how so many critics of free speech become urgent champions of the first amendment when their particular rights are challenged.

The failure of secular humanism is its inability to understand that without a transcendent moral code human beings as fallen bodies will act from a position of self interest. Goodness is at best a secondary consideration.

Reflections XLII - Observations from a Constantly Churning World

I have zero respect for anybody who eludes to or promotes a conspiracy of any kind and then provides zero evidence to back it up.

Always curious as to how much evil has been committed by perpetrators with the intent of going to heaven or paradise.

Free Speech ought to come with a accountability to both the truth and objective reality however it often doesn’t. This is the price we pay for a flawed right that has no better alternative.

More so than any other religion Islam has a well established history of butting heads with our faiths viz. Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Bahaiism etc. This is no coincidence but a consequence of a belief system that at its core sees its self as the ultimate revelation. The reason is that Islam is both a faith based system and a political ideology which by its very nature invites conflict.

There are virtually no Green based parties that at its epicentre aren’t Marxist. The environment serves the same role in conning the masses to accept a new top down dictatorship as did the class struggle from yesteryear.

There will always be a preponderance of stupid ideas in society as many of these ideas are comforting to one group or another. Comfort tends to outweigh the harsh hand of reality.

Every Chinese dynasty including the latest Marxist-nationalist version share one political commonality that serves them well – a resolute drive to make their population as compliant as possible. Confucian ethics works well here as duty can be swapped out for compliance.

Reflections XLI - Avoiding Despair

You can rationalize yourself into insanity.

The Far Left has weaponized compassion to the point that it has transformed it into its antithesis.

The secret to serenity in one’s life is to keep at bay the menace of the busy body.

If Covid revealed anything it was the power of the herd mentality over the herd immunity.

Kindness becomes cruelty if it is not balanced with justice.

Chaos thrives as we are prone to double down on stupidity instead of admitting that we are wrong.

Live a principled life and you will have very few regrets. The problem is that the principled life isn’t always the easiest option.

Most of human history is the story of the people recovering from bad ideas.
